Mid-Career Production Accounting Application

Course Overview

Please complete this application for the California Film Commission (CFC) – Career Pathways Program’s – Mid-Career Production Accounting (MCPA) Course. This 7-week course is only available to CA residents who are at least 18 years old at the time of graduation. The ideal candidate for this course is committed to a career in Production Accounting for Film/TV and to immediately pursue an entry-level position upon successfully completing the course.

 

📢 Please be advised that completion of the Application and Entrance Exam does not automatically grant admission into the program.

This application process is selective and competitive. To be considered for the MCPA Program, you must have at least 1 year of experience:

  • Working as a Production Accounting Clerk
  • Working in a Studio Finance Office
  • Or be a graduate of the CFC- Career Pathways Program’s Entry-Level Production Accounting Course

(one or more of these are acceptable)

Applicants must complete both Part 1 and Part 2 of the application process:

  • Part 1 – Video Submission: Submit a short introductory video following the provided instructions.
  • Part 2 – Entrance Exam: Complete the required assessment.

Only applicants who successfully complete both parts will qualify for review by the Admissions Committee, which will select the next cohort.
